With the present work is intended to update the project of blasting type of a quarry, dating from the late 20th century and whose initiation system is electrical, to the new techniques in blasting (non-electric initiation system and sequenced spaced loads). In the drafting of the document the design parameters of the blasting type to be used will be indicated, the quantity and type of explosive and the necessary accessories will be determined for the non-electrical blasting, and other important characteristics of the blasting will be defined, such as: the volume and the mass of rock ripped out, the specific consumption and the operating load. Afterwards, it will be explained how the loading of the blastholes must be carried out, the connection between them and the start of the blasting. Finally, in this work, a study of vibrations will be carried out, because the quarry is close to buildings that can be affected by the vibrations produced by the blasting.
