dc.description.abstract | The solution of the compressible Euler equations involves, in some problems, development of discontinuities such as shock waves. To this end, the purpose of this thesis is to investigate some shock-capturing techniques based on artificial viscosity method. This is done in the framework of high-order Hybridizable Discontinuous Galerkin finite element method. |
