The world of accelerators is constantly growing and more discoveries are produced by the several experiments performed there. One of the main points of the accelerators is the radio frequency, which is used to accelerate particles to large energy levels. In this way, each small error can cause variations in the state of the particle beam and that is why every device must be operated with the highest possible precision. It is intended to realize a program that imitates the function of the current one, in charge of controlling a device that directs and controls the radio frequency waves which name is circulator, adding several improvements at the programming and at the control equipment of this device in order to obtain the most optimal behavior possible. To achieve this, it has been updated the controller, using an Allen Bradley PLC, new tools have been installed and from the block programming, the program has been modeled from scratch. From the connection via Modbus and Ethernet, a wide variety of tests have been carried out to avoid any device from breaking or damaging because of its high cost, until the correct operation of the program has been achieved. Finally, it has been possible to create an improved behavior than the initial program that will be installed in the seven circulators that are in ALBA Synchrotron.
