dc.description.abstract[ANGLÈS] This project is about the feasibility of implementing a generator motor for electric bicycles. Due to a change in the regulation (UNE-EN 15194:2009 + A1), the motor power supply is limited to 250 Watts and the use of it is also limited to a maximum speed of 25 km / h. It also requires a new way of activating the motor gradually depending on the strength made by the cyclist during pedalling. The current status of the use of non-conventional motors is justified, in some applications, due to their price reduction, their increased efficiency and the their added value to the application. So in this project, tis types of motors have been analysed, and in particular, an HRM (Hybrid Reluctance Motor) analysing the improvements that this motor can add, and in particular, the current returned to the battery to be able to recharge energy at certain times. Fristly, a study of the possible motors that can be used in electric bicycles has been developed. And also, in order to detect the market trends, there has been made some studies about the batteries, converters, sensors and reductive systems and also to determinate the most optimal for this application. As a parallel research, a mechanical study of the bicycle has been developed, in order to understand the physics that surrounds the bicycle, and also to determine the optimal performance to control the motor. Then, an HRM structure has been proposed. This structure has been analysed statically and dynamically in order to establish which are the best settings for this structure to work as a motor and as a generator. This is one of the targets of this project, to check whether the engine working as a generator is capable of returning energy to the battery. There have also been several simulations to validate the results obtained and future lines of working have been proposed. During the realisation of this project a series of software tools have been developed. These software allow to perform more experimental analysis of the design proposals, and they also can be used as the basis for future works. All this work has been developed using agile methodologies; In this case, we have used Design thinking and SCRUM methodology.
