Abstract
This paper proposes an innovative self-managed optical network architecture for
heterogenous transparent optical networks. A self-optimized dynamic network testbed that comprises multiple multi bit-rate ligthpaths on a mesh topology that utilizes a dark fiber link has been implemented and evaluated.
