Abstract
Metallic glasses (MGs) show outstanding mechanical, physical and chemical properties and so provide a whole class of materials at the cutting-edge research in metallic and glassy systems1. However, MGs suffer from aging, which is the spontaneous degradation of their physical properties. Ultrastable metallic glasses (UMGs) are a very promising candidate to solve stability issues of conventionally produced MGs and the study of their stability is therefore of exceptional interest2.
