- Mineria, validació correcció i fusió de dades heterogènies al el suport de informació cognitiva;
- Disseny de sistemes de diagnosis i control tolerants a fallades, resilients i segurs;
The group aim is to carry out applied research in the following areas: - Modelling, identification and simulation of continuous and discontinuous industrial processes
- Advanced control of dynamic systems
- Optimisation and constraint satisfaction
- Supervision and fault diagnosis of industrial processes and systems
- Fault-tolerant control; and related subjects.
The aim is to devise software applications that increase the reliability and performance of processes and systems on the basis of this research.

Sensor fault detection for LPV systems using interval observers
(Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), 2024)
Article
Open AccessThis paper presents an approach for design a continuous-time interval observer for linear parameter varying (LPV) systems in the presence of disturbances that are considered unknown but bounded. The proposed observer is ... -
Robust fault diagnosis of wind turbines based on MANFIS and zonotopic observers
(2024-01)
Article
Restricted access - publisher's policyWind turbines have become one of the essential sources of energy generation due to their contribution to energy security, economic development, job creation, and technological innovation. This work proposes a methodology ... -
Biometric lock with facial recognition implemented with deep learning techniques
(2024)
Article
Open AccessThe increased criminal activity associated with unauthorized entry into facilities has become a global concern. Traditional mechanical locks suffer from drawbacks such as key loss, theft, duplication risks, and time-consuming ... -
Robust LPV fault diagnosis using the set-based approach for autonomous ground vehicles
(2024-08)
Article
Open AccessThis paper proposes a robust fault diagnosis method for Autonomous Ground Vehicles (AGVs) modeled as a Linear Parameter Varying (LPV) system with bounded uncertainties. The proposed approach combines the zonotope-based ... -
Optimised partial remixing procedure for mitigating capacity loss of imbalanced vanadium flow batteries
(International Flow Battery Forum, 2024)
Conference report
Restricted access - publisher's policyElectrolyte imbalance is the main cause of capacity loss in Vanadium Flow Batteries (VFB). Imbalance can be classified into “stoichiometric imbalance” (or “mass imbalance”) and “faradaic imbalance” (or “oxidative/reductive ... -
Identification and analysis of stochastic deception attacks on cyber–physical systems
(Elsevier, 2024-04-16)
Article
Restricted access - publisher's policyCyber–Physical Systems (CPSs) refer to control systems which are composed of sensors, actuators, computers and network components. These systems are vulnerable to unforeseen failures and external malicious attacks. In this ... -
