dc.description.abstractThe project is carried out at the department of P&C (Projects and Consulting) of the company Acuntia in order to design and implement a 10G MPLS multiservice network for a potential customer in Barcelona whose identity cannot be revealed for confidential reasons. Different communication protocols, technologies and Cisco products were deployed in order to achieve a hierarchical, robust, critical and operational network. This network design consists of three layers: Access, distribution and a decentralized backbone with different types of redundant links connecting them in order to provide a 24/7/365 service. Three design alternatives have been considered and compared in order to reach the optimal one, and many tests have been performed in order to verify and ensure the proper operation of the network. The goal of the project was achieved on time thanks to the dedication of a qualified team with many years of experience in the field.
