Propuesta de un sistema de protección solar para fachadas basado en las conclusiones obtenidas del estudio realizado de las experiencias de Jean Prouvé

Abstract

Nowadays, there are several options about architectural sun shade. The research carried out here, starts understanding the designs and solutions of the facade systems designed by Jean Prouvé. It is necessary to take into account that each building has different requirements, because each case depends on the geographic location where it is located, and also on the use of each inner space. Most of the sun shades have survived along the time and have been reinvented with different kind of materials, but in many cases they have not been used in an appropriate manner because of the complementary elements that the user adds to the design in order to have comfort in the inner space. The present research shows the variety of façades with sun protection systems designed by Jean Prouvé, and it develops a graphic catalogue about it. Later, a theoretical and graphic analysis of two systems of mobile horizontal brise soleil is done. In the development of the analysis mentioned above, the functionality of each system will help to understand the operation of each system, with the aim of applying the different learned strategies in a real situation. The proposal combines different ideas of shape, materiality and mobility with the purpose of creating an inner system of sun protection made by horizontal brise soleil. This has the capacity to offer the necessary functions, in order that the user can have the thermic and lighting conditions, desired in the habitable space.
