dc.description.abstractThe man has been trying to find an alternative source of energy to fossil fuels for years. Most of them either obtain electrical energy or other types of energy. Given this setting, research on renewable energies has been made, and so far they have helped producing clean, eco-friendly energy. The main purpose of this project is to find another way of producing electrical energy, which consists in taking advantage of piezoelectricity from piezoelectric transducers as electric generators. This project aims at designing a piezoelectric tile. The results will be theoretical and they will be obtained from two different scenarios. One of which will be set in the terminal from the airport Barcelona el Prat, whereas the other will be set in a cycle lane in the same aiport. It has been decided to conduct a research on the obtaining electrical energy, and calculation will be made regarding the amount of CO2 it will eventually prevent from being emitted into the atmosphere. It has been come the conclusion that geometry and the piezoelectric constants of piezoelectric transducers are relevant parameters to show how energy is obtained. Besides, the rank in which it works in order to obtain the highest amount of energy has to be taken into account. The degree of performance given by the whole system is low, of an 8%. It is a feasible result, for the degrees of this kind of systems oscillate between a 5% and a 15%. The biggest concern of these elements is how to set up the signal in order to retain energy.
