Abstract

From the very beginning of the fourth year, what my colleagues were explaining in the corridors of the school caught my attention. I heard about the practicum and I immediately asked for information about it. It is obvious that it was time to make the first step for all those that we didn’t had the opportunity to work in the construction sector during the summer or during the school year. And, there is no better way to end up the degree than enjoying of an experience out there, in the real world. In this aspect, I consider the practicum much more advantageous than the TFG. As, four years of merely theory, don’t give you some abilities that are required and indispensable in the sector. Which I will be able to learn and develop in this opportunity. I had the pleasure of sharing this experience with a family’s friend. Actually, it was her that told me that in the company where she works as Site Manager, they were interested on forming students in practices. From the beginning, I had a very warm welcome at the office. With people relatively young, really nice and accessible. Letting me clear that there more important was to learn. I joined the team as a student in practices through an agreement of education cooperation. I had a morning schedule of 5 hours with an amplification of the workday on summer and taking it back to normality on September. I started on the 20th of May 2016 and I will end up my relationship with the company in the aforementioned conditions on the 31st of January 2017. Eight months living this experience fully. During my stay in the construction company I have had the opportunity of having a certain dynamism thanks to the wide variety of works fulfilled and the management flexibility. My main earmark was assigned at the beginning. I had to collaborate with a site manager and a manager on the execution of 34 housing in Badalona. Basically, I roll was to be the “backpack” of the site manager. And, this way, I participated with him in all the other works that he had to fulfil. And, this situation has allowed me to perform in a wide variety of works. But in this memory I will just consider the more significant and special ones from my point of view. As well as the more problematic ones or the ones that have been more challengeous. I will synthesize and expose this in the development of the project. I will structure my memory in three different blocs. In one hand, I will expose all the information and the data of Exnovo in order to place you on the environment where I participated. I will also give to you some information about the creation and the history of the company, the services that they offer, their internal organization and their function. In the other hand, on the second bloc, I will start to profundize on the tasks realized during my stay in Exnovo. Among all them I will develop in the more accurate way measurement performance for the future industrial facturation, the participations in the weekly visits of the work, the performance of contradictory prices, the performance of comparative papers for future contractation, negociations and discussion of contradictory prices or work adjudication, pre-invoice performance, organization and management of the documents of the end of the work, organization and planification of the execution and the final review of the work. And, on the third bloc, I will save this space to talk about the work that I spent more effort and time.
