CREDA - Centre de Recerca en Economia i Desenvolupament Agroalimentari
El CREDA-UPC-IRTA es crea per impulsar treballs de recerca i transferència en els àmbits de l'economia i les ciències socials aplicats al sector agroalimentari, així com comprendre millor les complexes relacions que uneixen el sector agroalimentari amb el territori i el medi natural. L’activitat de recerca del grup es pot agrupar en cinc línies principals. En primer lloc l’anàlisi de la competitivitat de la cadena agroalimentària, amb especial interès en les relacions de preus i la seva volatilitat. La segona se centra en l’anàlisi de la demanda d’aliments i el comportament del consumidor. La tercera s’enfoca cap a l’anàlisi de les polítiques agràries, posant especial èmfasi en les decisions de producció. La quarta, desenvolupada recentment, s’enfoca al desenvolupament rural i a la medició de la sostenibilitat. Finalment, la quinta àrea està relacionada amb les nostres activitats de transferència centrades en el disseny de sistemes d’informació per a la presa de decisions.
