dc.description.abstractThe use of digital high-speed cameras to acquire relevant information is a standard for all the laboratories and facilities working on passive safety crash tests. The recorded information from the cameras is used to develop and better perform the vehicles in order to make them more secure. In this work, an image processing camera alignment system is presented, which allows locating the high-speed cameras involved in a crash test to reproduce the same position throughout a long-term project. This leads to better analysis ensuring more accuracy of the image-based measurements, obtaining comparable results for all the similar crash tests carried out in a project.
