dc.description.abstract | This study is performed with two mai n goals in mind. The first goal is to understand the Augmented Reality technology and its mainly tracking and registration technology , the second one is find a way to improve the registration and tracking accuracy . T he project is graphic digital compass designed for android devices based on these mainly technology . It can obtain the user’s compass information to tell th e orientation , get the GPS information which can locate user and demonstrate a map where the user is , using the GPS, accelerometer and compass sensors to improve the r egistration accuracy and we also set the markers calibrating orientation to make registration and tracking more precision. We are using the Unity3D software which develop this project. This tool is cross platform game engine developed by Unity Technologies and used to develop video games for PC, consoles, mobile devices and websites and another really important tool is Vuforia, it is an Augmented Reality Software Development Kit (SDK) for mobile devices that enables the creation of Augmented Rea lity applications. |
