This master thesis consists in proving the implementation of the application layer of the ISO 15118. This ISO defines how the communication between a charging station and an electric vehicle -during the process of recharging the batteries- should work. It is still being released, so it has not been implemented yet. Since the beginning of 2017, only Part 1, 2, 3 and 4 -out of 8 parts- have been released, and ISO 15118 Part 2: Network and application protocol requirements, is the one that implements the application layer we are already able to test, so we aim to demonstrate that this part of the standard can be implemented. Initially, it was planned to implement all the application layer from the ISO 15118, but it became too large for the development of this project and it has been bounded to test that this communication is viable. In order to do so, we have created two windows applications, one simulating that is the supply equipment communication controller -which is the part from the charging station that controls the communication- and the electric vehicle communication controller. Once we activate the operations on these applications; Firstly, it will run the code created for this master thesis, which implements the ISO 15118, creating a socket connection between both entities. Secondly, creating and encoding the message to send it in the adequate format, and encapsulating it at the electric vehicle. Finally, checking the message and decoding the information on the other side of the communication.
