Proceedings of the International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education (4th: 2008)
The 4th International Barcelona Conference on Higher Education was held at the Technical University of Catalonia in March-April 2008. The conference basically considered the need to review the role that higher education plays today in society, discussing openly whether the knowledge being created through research and disseminated through teaching is the one needed to respond to the problems we face as human beings. "Higher education: new challenges and emerging roles for human and social development" was the chosen title that gathered more than 450 participants coming from almost 80 countries from all over the world.
Videos coming from the Conference are also available through the UPCommons platform, by clicking here.
