El hombre de al lado, o cuando Calibán intentó romper la pared

Abstract

Con el pretexto del escenario de la película El hombre de al lado (Mariano Cohn y Gastón Duprat, 2010) se discute la suerte de la arquitectura moderna en las periferias latinoamericanas globalizadas. El desarrollo de la trama en la Casa Curutchet de Le Corbusier, así como la presencia de un personaje como Víctor, no obedeció a ninguna intención crítica. Por tanto y como a veces suele ocurrir en las narrativas, el asunto se le va de la mano al autor, en este caso de la del director. Se aborda, por consiguiente, el modo en el que el filme muestra mucho más de lo que estaba previsto en su guión y producción.

ENG: Under the pretext of the film stage of The Man Next Door (Mariano Cohn and Gastón Duprat, 2010) it will be discussed the luck of the Modern Architecture in the Latin-American, included peripheries. The development of the plot in the Le Corbusier’s House Curutchet, as well as the presence of a personage as Víctor, did not obey any critical intention. Therefore and as sometimes it is in the habit of happening in the narratives, the matter goes away of the hand to the author, in this case as well as from the director. There is approached, consequently, the way in which the movie shows much more than it was foreseen in its script and production.
