Blatraden is a small production plant located in Öjebyn, Sweden. In their factory bathroom floors for prefabricated wooden houses are produced using composite materials as a raw ma-terial. The following research has the aim of studying the production and tries to find several improvements using some basic lean tools. During the development of this project several methodologies are used. First of all the factory performance is studied using Value Stream Mapping methodology in order to find several op-portunities that can be used to improve the plant performance. After that a 5S plan is going to be created in order to be applied in the future. To start creating the plan, one of the first steps is to use a simulation software to redistribute the task organiza-tion among the available workers in the factory. The implementation of the 5S plan is not described and registered in this project inasmuch as it is not performed in the factory yet, but after a presentation with the management team in the factory the determination of implementing it in near future is taken. The further work and results are discussed at the end of the report.
