Abstract
Some of the structures of school facilities in the Dominican Republic have suffered injury
from the movements of earthquakes, acting with a force that cannot absorb elements,
breaking shear and in isolated cases, crash elements, ie due to wrong arrangement thereof
and mainly labor.
The schools that are mostly cracked are those whose construction lead configuration donated
school models in the 1979s. The issues discussed here are study analyzes the cases of some
of these entities selected by chance and show failures analyzed.
Using the model represented in the Cype software, a check on the model of the new schools,
to what extent the structure complies with the regulations for seismic resistant buildings,
proposing an improvement in the structural system for both existing schools as for new
construction, a replaceable angular when he loses plasticity can be replaced with a new part
to provide the same response to the stresses. Some of the structures of school facilities in the Dominican Republic have suffered injury
