Abstract
It will be investigated whether the selection of a hydraulic fluid has an influence on the energetic losses of hydraulic pumps. It is expected that both viscosity and tribological proper-ties affect leakage losses and friction losses. It is necessary to develop and build a test bench to measure efficiency characteristics of pumps. The test bench has to be especially suitable to effi-ciently and cleanly change the hydraulic fluid. The task of this master thesis is to assess the selection of components and sensors, design missing mechanical parts, and write a program to control parameter variations automatically and gather measured data. Further, an operational concept for the experiments has to be developed, comparing and evaluating alternative work sequences to change pumps and fluids for the experiments. The work shall be finished with first experimental runs.
