This TFC is a study created from an airline perspective about an eventual operation of a route from Barcelona to Tokyo. The main target of the study is finding out whether it would be feasible to have a long range operation such as this one after the great interest shown by the Generalitat de Catalunya's government to push Spanair operate this kind of routes short before the airline filed for bankruptcy. All information which has been used to prepare this report is taken from the tools which usually airlines have. This study is divided into two parts, the first one being the commercial feasibility study and the second being the operational feasibility. The first one allows us to get an idea about the traffic demand either from the Japanese side or from the Spanish side. Moreover it lets us know about the commercial requirements the route would have such as whether the flight should be seasonal or not, capacity offered should be higher or lower, traffic being leisure or corporate, etc. The second part, the operational one, basically studies the needs from the operational point of view, such as handling required for this flight type, fuel, etc. Finally the study offers the conclusions whether this kind of flight is feasible or not, first starting from the commercial point of view, afterwards with the operational point of view and finally with the global one. It is important to state that it would have been quite difficult to prepare this report without these tools and even though having them available and using them in many cases the data gathered is not enough to take proper conclusions and many times assumptions are to be made based in the lack of data and knowledge. According to the director requirements, we have tried to provide further details in some parts of the study which would not be needed as per the study targets. However, we proceeded this way in order to create a study which may be of use for certain subjects of the aeronautics degree.
Aquest
TFC tracta d’un estudi tal i com el realitzaria una aerolínea d’una
eventual ruta entre Barcelona i Tokyo.
L’estudi neix de la curiositat de saber si seria viable aquest
tipus d’operativa de
llarg radi, després del gran interès mostrat pel govern de la Generalitat de
Catalunya d’intentar que Spanair realitzés operatives de llarg radi poc abans
de que l’aerolínea presentés concurs de creditors.
L’estudi consta de dues parts
, la part d’estudi de viabilitat comercial i l’estudi
de viabilitat operativa. La primera ens serveix per a fer

nos una idea de la
situación de demanda de tràfic tant per la part del Japó com per la part
d’Espanya, i és la que ens farà saber de quins reque
riments comercials podría
tenir la ruta, tals com si el vol hauria de ser estacional, si s’hauria d’oferir més
o menys capacitat, si el tràfic és d’oci o de negoci, etc. La segona part, la
operativa, bàsicament tracta de les necessitats operatives que requ
ereix
aquest tipus de vol, com per exemple el handling, el combustible, etc.
Finalment l’estudi acaba amb les conclusions de si és viable aques tipus
d’operativa, primer a nivell comercial, després a nivell operacional i finalment a
nivell global.
Tota la
informació que s’ha fet servir per a realitzar l’estudi està feta amb les
eines de les quals pot disposar una aerolínea habitualment.
Cal remarcar
que
seria molt difícil realitzar aquest tipus d’estudi en el cas de
que no es disposessin d’aquestes eines, i
que
,
tot i disposar d’aquestes eines
,
en molts casos les dades que aquestes faciliten no són suficients per extreure
conclusions i en molts casos s’han de fer assumpcions basades en el
desconeixement o la falta d’informació.
D’acord amb els requeriments
del tutor, hem procurat aprofundir en certes
parts del treball on segons l’objecte del treball no caldria aprofundir més, però
s’ha fet amb la voluntat de voler dotar el treball d’una funció didáctica per a un
ús en assignatures de la titulació d’aeronàutica.
