Abstract
This project converts a technological idea into a service and presents a plan to assess its feasibility in a real market. Wireless sensor networks allow to monitor and control multiple physical variables separated each other. This is stand-alone devices and reduced size, weight and cost, called "motes". Strategically located, these devices are able to capture analog continuous variables by sensors and to communicate wirelessly at real time between them. One of these motes in the network acts as gatweay routing information from the network to a centralized application. This application can be looked up from anywhere in the world using a computer and internet conection. One of its many applications is precision farming. This work is planned to create a new company offering engineering services, supply, installation and maintenance of wireless sensor networks to improve the process of rice agriculture.
