dc.description.abstract | This Final Degree Work aims to apply the theoretical knowledge acquired during this
Engineering Construction Degree (which has come to improve my Technical Architecture
studies).
Since I finished my Technical Architecture Studies in 1998, the construction world has
developed substantially. Obviously there is a temporal evolution of the building work
systems, which were improved and updated to fit better the needs that arise, although the
significant change relies on the mandatory rules in which the constructive world is based.
Those rules govern and determinate the construction work systems as they tend to fix a
methodology and set goals to achieve.
From the day I started working until nowadays, the evolution suffered by the construction
work systems had introduced considerable changes on my professional work, which has
obliged me to look for constant formation in this area.
This Construction Engineering Degree makes part of this continuous formation as well as
it will open the door of the European labor market, because by concluding those studies,
I’m gaining more competitive skills and will be able to enter the European market.
The main reason of this exposition consists in explaining the work I realized between 2008
and 2009, carrying out the execution of an apartment building located in Rubí, where I
needed to apply this complementary formation in conjunction with my university studies.
That’s why I chose this topic for this work, because, even being a Technical Architect and
driving more than 10 years practicing as such, the best way to demonstrate the
knowledge acquired from the practice and continuous formation is showing part of the
work I realized.
During the construction of this apartment building, apart from finding certain constructive
difficulties, which I‘ll explain later, this was the first work on which I had to apply the new
mandatory rules, different from the rules I was used to until now, the CTE.
About the CTE, as I’ll remark later, it is interesting to note that I had to apply it only in a
part of the apartment building. |
