Abstract
Currently there are very delicate environmental situations, as day after day are increasing the emissions of gases causing the greenhouse effect. Therefore, globally it has created several commissions to regulate it, as the Kyoto Protocol which aims to reduce global emissions of greenhouse gases. Therefore, governments are forced to seek solutions to this problem and the great future is the renewable energies. However, more work is needed in order to make renewable energy more competitive in the market, both economically and efficiency, in order to assume the current high energy demand. It is therefore important investigate new technologies for renewable power to be self-sufficient and sustainable. This project carries out the experimental analysis about modification of solar cell with a silver nanoparticles and gold nanoparticles and also the modification with quantum dots. With these experiments it tries to obtain better results in order to improve efficiency of solar cells. Then it does an economic study to introduce in the market these modified cells. It analyzes from the standpoint of the employers, following the model of the five forces of Michael Eugene Porter, it sees the possibilities in the market. It is also the study from the standpoint of the buyer who wants install solar cells on your house. It is an analysis of the cost of installation to see if it is economically viable, in comparison with the price paid for electricity during these years. However, this project tries to make a step forward in renewable energy in order to make it more economically and efficiently.
