dc.description.abstractThis project analyses the performance of a multi-objective optimization approach for the estimation of the rates of rotation of a small satellite, given noisy measurements of the attitude. The performance of this method varies depending on two parameters, namely the horizon length and the sample rate of the measurements, plus the initial conditions of the satellite. In order to study the relation between them, a number of simulations with different parameters are run, and the performance of the method is then stufied by menas of the performance indices, this is, the error of the solution with respect to the actual trajectory of the state variables, and the computation time required by the solver to find the solution.
