Estudi histórico del antiguo cuartel de los carabineros del Prat de Llobregat : propuesta de rehabilitación y cambio de uso a estación biológica y sede operativa del consorcio del Delta del Llobregat

Abstract

The study and documentation that we have done on the building of the former barracks of the Carabineros in el Prat de Llobregat includes two parallel tasks. On one side was carried out a survey of all structures. This survey has been done following the criteria used in this type of work. Once the survey has been carried out by marking those elements that had interest from an historical perspective and to identify and interpret the structures that are located in the plans. This survey should serve not only as a basis for the interpretation of all, but also for the realization of future architectural intervention projects on the campus. Secondly, in parallel, it has completed a study of historical and architectural mix from available evidence. In this sense, the study was focused on two main points. First, it has made an initial approach to the physical remains preserved, with a description and documentation of the buildings that make up the barracks following a chronological and evolutionary approach. This study allows us to begin to hypothesize about the evolution of the architectural construction. Secondly, it has been the work of the study; it has become an historical approach by consulting various existing documentary sources.
