In this report an algorithm for the satisfaction of geometric constraints of distance in 2D models is proposed. It is based on the step-by-step relaxation of each constraint and, under well-bounded conditions, it converges to the desired solution.

Tost Pardell, Daniela; Puig Puig, Anna; Pérez Vidal, Lluís
This paper addresses the simulation of drilling tools CNC machining. It describes a novel approach for the computation of the boundary representation of the machined tools. Machining consists of a sequence of boolean operations of difference between the tool and the grinding wheels through time. The proposed method performs the dynamic boolean operations on cross sections of the tool and it reconstructs the 3D model by tiling between the cross sections. The method is based on classical computational geometry algorithms such as intersection tests, hull computatons, 2D boolean operations and surface tiling. This approach is efficient and it provides user control on the resolution of the operations.

Soto Riera, Antoni; Vila Marta, Sebastià
TSC is a package conceived to build on it any kind of application that requires an user interface mainly command oriented. The package has a distributed philosophy thus having a high modularity and portability. Although TSC was designed with graphical applications in mind, its use is not restricted to them and big profit can be achieved by using it in other kind of applications. This report describes the functional capabilities of the product and it shows several examples of use.

This report describes a didactic project on Computer Graphics Laboratory courses. The aim of the project is to provide common software tools for the design and implementation of practical works to the students and the teachers of Computer Graphics courses. These software tools may be used in introductory courses as well as more specialized ones and in Master degree projects. The use of this software unifies and eases the process of knowledge acquisition. In addition, it makes it possible to re-use the developments realized in the different courses.

This paper describes the Extended Octree model that are an exact representation for polyhedra. Boolean Operations in this model perform in linear time, as they include an implicit spacial localization of the objects. As a consequence, Extended Octrees can be used as a secondary model for performing boolean operations in Geometric Modeling Systems. The purpose of this paper is to present and discuss the algorithms for boolean operations using the Extended Octree representation.
