Abstract
Large Format Printing (LFP) Operations department at HP Inc. company, among other functions, designs, develops and produces tools in order to control the quality of LFP not only when they are already produced and running, but also while they are being assembling. The Encoder Reader Validation Tool (ERVT) is an electro-mechanic device used in order to validate whether a crucial component of a LFP, in this case an Encoder Reader (ER), is working under specifications or not. Once developed, this tool will be delivered to the company that provides to HP Inc. the ERs used in two different printers. The provider of ERs will be able to check if the material that they assemble and provide to HP Inc. is working correctly, so then it can be implemented in the printing machines without expecting a bad performance. It is important to note that every single ER assembled will be tested in the ERVT, so 100% of the units delivered will have been inspected and therefore validated. It is also important to remark that so far, only a single unit of the ERVT will be produced.
