Abstract

La Universidad se ha preocupado desde sus orígenes por su aproximación a la realidad social y productiva de su entorno. El debate entre la autonomía intelectual frente a la dependencia de las vicisitudes de la realidad (y también de los estamentos de poder), no puede enturbiar la necesaria conexión de los estudios de arquitectura con la realidad constructiva. No se trata de diluir la esencia de la disciplina sino de entender que sus fundamentos precisan de una base instrumental que hunde sus raíces en una realidad técnica en lenta pero constante evolución. La industria, la próxima y la disponible, permite la materialización de la arquitectura no como mera factibilidad sino como un agente activo en su elaboración. El texto explorará experiencias académicas que trabajarán en esta brecha entre la ficción de las aulas y la realidad constructiva.

The University has been concerned from its origins for its approach to the social and productive reality of its environment. The debate between intellectual autonomy versus dependence on the vicissitudes of reality, can not blur the necessary connection of architecture studies with constructive reality. It is not a matter of loosing the essence of the discipline but of understanding that its foundations require an instrumental basis that have its roots in a technical reality in slow but constant evolution. The industry, the near one and at disposal, allows the materialization of architecture not as mere feasibility but as an active agent in its development. The text will explore academic experiences that will work in this gap between the fiction of the academy and the constructive reality.
