Abstract
This project has been carried out with the assistance of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest (UPB) in collaboration with the National Institute for Aerospace Research "Elie Carafoli" (INCAS). The project began in mid-April where I, along with 4 other colleagues from different countries, started with the research and development of the assigned topic: conducting research on the functioning of a hip prosthesis and developing an improved new shape for it. During the two months we worked on the project, we received help from both professors and members of the INCAS institute, providing us with educational materials as well as relevant 3D scans and physical pieces for the development of our project. The main objective of this project is divided into two distinct points. On the part of the university and as a personal motivation, we wanted to make this project a growth experience where we improved our organizational skills and teamwork to carry out this project. On the other hand, we decided to accept this project proposal because we believed that there were some aspects in the medical sector that could be identified and improved, in this case, hip prostheses. Towards the end of our stay in Romania, we presented our final paper and gave a presentation on the results obtained, which will be further discussed in this report.
