El objetivo principal del proyecto ASSAM es contribuir al desarrollo de la próxima generación de herramientas de soporte a la movilidad inteligentes y semiautónomas para gente mayor y gente con discapacidades (física y/o cognitivas) de forma que puedan ser suficientemente independientes para vivir de forma autónoma en la comunidad. El enfoque de ASSAM consiste en desarrollar 3 plataformas de movilidad distintas orientadas a diferentes perfiles funcionales que estará equipado con un modulo de soporte cognitivo a la navegación para potenciar la autonomía y bienestar de los usuarios y sus habilidades para mantener un estilo de vida independiente. En este artículo presentamos el proyecto y su contexto.

The main goal of the ASSAM project is to contribute to the development of the next generation of intelligent and semi-autonomous mobility support tools for older persons and people with disabilities (both cognitive and/or motor) so that they can be self-dependent enough to autonomously live in the community. The approach of ASSAM is to develop three different mobility platforms for different functional profiles that will be equipped with a navigation cognitive support that will enhance the autonomy and well-being of the users and their abilities to maintain independent life styles.
