Una de les respostes de les ciutats davant les urgències mediambientals, socials, alimentàries i econòmiques consisteix a repensar la vinculació que tenen amb el territori on estan situades. És prioritari retrobar-se amb el suport geogràfic i les seves dinàmiques ecosistèmiques. És necessari establir noves sinergies entre la ciutat i el que l’envolta i la sosté, entre la figura i el fons. Aquest llibre presenta respostes possibles a aquests reptes a partir del desenvolupament de projectes per millorar la relació entre la ciutat d’Igualada i la nova Anella Verda que l’envolta. Els projectes han estat realitzats en el curs d’Urbanística 6(M)-2023, a l’Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura de Barcelona (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), amb la col·laboració de l’Ajuntament d’Igualada.

One of the responses of cities to environmental, social, food, and economic emergencies is to rethink their connection with the territory where they are located. It is of great importance to reconnect with the geographical support and its ecosystem dynamics. It is necessary to establish new synergies between the city and its surroundings, between the figure and the background. This book presents possible responses to these challenges through the development of ideas to improve the relationship between the city of Igualada and the new Green Belt that surrounds it. The projects have been carried out in the course of Urban Design 6(M)-2023 at the Barcelona School of Architecture (Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya), with the collaboration of the Ajuntament d’Igualada city council.
