Estudi de les propietats singulars de l'aigua: experiments simples

Abstract

Com bé ja sabem, l’aigua és un element bàsic per a la nostra vida i pel desenvolupament de les activitats humanes. És una substància peculiar ja que no es comporta com altres fluids similars, degut a que té unes propietats singulars que la diferencien de la resta. En aquest treball hem analitzat les propietats anòmales de l’aigua i n’hem escollit unes quantes, com per exemple: la tensió superficial juntament amb la capil·laritat, la seva especial densitat, la influència de les propietats col·ligatives, l’índex de refracció, la miscibilitat-immiscibilitat amb diferents fluids, la seva gran capacitat calorífica... per estudiar-les en més detall D’aquestes propietats entre d’altres singularitats de l’aigua, hem triat un seguit d’experiments (se n’han realitzat un total de 24) les hem posat en pràctica al laboratori de l’EPSEM. Les experiències s’han triat de manera que la propietat la qual treballem, es pugui observar de forma visual i directe. Una de les característiques més importants de les experiències triades, és el seu baix cost i el poder realitza-les amb material quotidià i assequible per a tothom. Abans de realitzar els experiments al laboratori, s’han estudiat els fonaments teòrics per entendre l’objectiu al qual volíem arribar al fer-les. Per a cada una de les propietats amb experiments s’han elaborat les corresponents fitxes de realització. També s’han enregistrat en forma de vídeo en primera pla els passos que s’han realitzat en cada experiència. La finalitat que es pretén amb aquest treball és demostrar la importància de l’aigua per a la vida i la seva diferència en quant a propietats respecte a altres fluids coneguts.

As we all know, water is a basic element in our lives and in the development of human activities. It is a peculiar substance as it does not behave like other similar fluids, because it has singular properties that differentiate it from the rest. In this work we have analyzed the anomalous properties of water and chosen some, such as: surface tension along with capillarity, its special density, the influence of the colligative properties, the refractive index, the miscibility-immiscibility with different fluids, and its great heat capacity... to study them in more detail. From these properties, among other singularities of water, we have chosen a series of experiments (It has done 24 in total) we have put into practice in the EPSEM laboratory. The experiences have been chosen, so that the properties we are working on can be observed visually and directly. One of the most important features of the experiences chosen, is their low cost and the fact that they are able to be made with everyday and affordable material for everyone. Before performing the experiments in the laboratory, we have studied the theoretical foundations in order to understand the purpose for which we wanted to achieve them. Corresponding worksheets have been prepared for each of the experimental properties realized. The steps have also been recorded in a first-person video for each experience. The purpose of this work is to demonstrate the importance of water for life and its difference between some properties in other known fluids.
