Abstract
The present paper presents the adaptation to a virtual format of an elective subject of the Industrial Engineering Bachelor Degree, taught in English. This subject aims at providing the students with knowledge on different chemical industry sectors where they can work in the future. To achieve this objective, the visits to chemical plants were essential. However, with the pandemics, the companies could not offer this possibility to the students. Therefore, in this adaptation, the visits to the industry have been substituted by virtual seminars with experts. The lectures have been taught virtually but also recorded and uploaded online. The final projects have been carried out on virtual format but following the co-evaluation process used in the in-presence format. With all this, the subject has achieved its objectives and it has ensured that the students have acquired the planned competences.
