| dc.description.abstract | A bass-reflex port is an open pipe that connect the volume of the loudspeaker with the surrounding environment. Its role is to accentuate the low frequency range of sound. For some geometries a vortex shedding can be generated, which causes aerodynamic noise that can interference with the loudspeaker sound. The student will perform a experimental study of the flow in the bass-reflex port, in order measure the velocity field. The main tasks will be: - Choose the best experimental method for the flow visualization and learn how to use it - Design and construction of the test bench - Experimental running - Results analysis |
