La iluminación en las aulas, tiene un papel fundamental en el aprendizaje y desarrollo de los alumnos. Es uno de los puntos básicos para la salud e influyó en toda la evolución de la arquitectura escolar en el último siglo. Así lo han determinado también los últimos estudios científicos e intenta ponerlo de manifiesto este trabajo. El trabajo analiza 7 escuelas significativas de ámbito europeo para ilustrar como abordan el tema de la iluminación natural y artificial, extrayendo de ellas una serie de recomendaciones para el planteamiento lumínico de las aulas. Por último, analiza más en profundidad las aulas del Colegio Pureza de María de Sant Cugat, sobre las cuales se aplican los criterios extraídos de la investigación y el análisis para su mejora.

The lighting in the classrooms has a fundamental role in the learning and development of the students. It’s one of the basic points for health and influenced the entire evolution of school architecture in the last century. This has also been determined by the latest scientific studies and this work tries to show it. The work analyzes 7 significant schools in Europe to illustrate how they approach the issue of natural and artificial lighting approach in classrooms. Finally, the work analyzes in more depht the classrooms of the Pureza de María School, in Sant Cugat, on which the criteria extracted from the research and the analysis are applied for their improvement.
