EHMAN
The project EHMAN (Expanding the Horizons of
Manufacturing: Solving the Integration Paradox) aims at the enterprise-wide modeling
and optimization by the development and application of integrated modeling,
simulation and optimization methodologies, and computer aided tools for
reliable and sustainable improvement opportunities within the entire
manufacturing network and its individual components.
EHMAN will build on it the new integrated Supply Chain
Management paradigm handling external and internal dynamics of real businesses,
and where the different toolboxes will share a common database and plug and
play facilities. In addition, EHMAN will provide the industry with a
significant competitive edge thanks to the enhanced SC dynamics and
consequently to a radically improved way to handle an uncertain globalizing
market by optimizing business production resources.
