# SMS - Measurement in ASRD dataset (v1.0) This dataset has been used to generate part of the results included in the manuscript: “Quality Measurement in Agile and Rapid Software Development: A Systematic Mapping”, submitted to the Information and Software Technology journal (IST) at the time of publishing this dataset. The paper reports the results of a systematic mapping study surveying the literature related to quality requirements management through metrics in agile and rapid software development processes. The dataset contains the data extracted from the primary studies that was used in the analysis phase of the study and reported in the results section of the paper. The data extracted from the primary studies has been complemented with some data used for specific purposes, e.g. during the analysis phase, we included the list of companies collaborating in the paper analysing the authors’ affiliations to understand the level of implication of companies in the field. Complementing the data analysed, the dataset includes some detailed results that are not included in the body of the paper, i.e., the list of metrics reported in the selected primary studies. Terminology: * **QR**: Quality Requirement * **QMI**: Quality Management Indicator ## Content The dataset contains the following files: * readme.txt: This text file including details about the content of the dataset * Measurement in ARSD_SMS_Data.xls: MS Excel file containing the data used in the analysis of the primary studies, reported in Section 4 of the paper. Data is organised in separated sheets: * RQ1 - Characterisation: primary studies data used in the literature characterization. Each row corresponds to a primary study, columns correspond to primary studies attributes. This sheet also includes the complete list of reference of the primary studies, the ID used during the data extraction and analysis (used in the MS Excel file), and the ID used in the paper (starting with “PS”). * RQ2 - QR Metrics: primary studies data used in the QR metrics analysis. Each row corresponds to a different QR metric, primary studies are the columns, indicating the metrics that are reported for each primary study. * RQ3 - QMI: primary studies data related to reported QMIs (RQ3.1). Each row corresponds to a different QMI, primary studies are the columns, indicating the QMIs that are reported for each primary study. * RQ3 - Tools: primary studies data related to reported tools used to manage QMIs (RQ3.2). Each row corresponds to a reported tool, primary studies are the columns, indicating the tools that are reported for each primary study. * RQ3 - QMI Metrics: primary studies data related to reported QMI metrics (RQ3.3, RQ3.4, RQ3.5, and QR3.6). Each row corresponds to a different QMI metric, primary studies are the columns, indicating the metrics that are reported for each primary study. * PS: list of primary studies defining the IDs used in the other sheets to identify them. * Metrics in ARSD.pdf: A pdf file containing the complete list of metrics reported in the different primary studies. The metrics are classified into the following categories: QR metrics, QMIs, and QMI metrics. ## Acknowledgments Parts of this work are funded by the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grant agreement no. 732253 (during the Q-Rapids project). ## Use and disclaimer Use of this data source is subject to your implied acceptance of the following terms.
