Polyèdres mixtes

Abstract

Using regular polygons both planar and skew, the latter defining a curved surface (say a minimal surface, or a surface composed of hyperbolic-paraboloidal regions), we can construct a variety of non-convex symmetrical forms resembling polyhedra, which we call mixed polyhedra. These forms are also found in the voids left in the clusters constructed by D. G. Emmerich (see the preceding article). Architectural applications, at the level of individual cells, roof forms or clusters are suggested.
