Instrumentation viewpoint: News Bulletin - Special Issue

Abstract

The objective of this meeting is to get together with like minded groups who want to impact marine robotics and science, and to do so in a collaborative manner working in one (or more) fund project ideas. At the meeting, we expect every team represented, to present some ideas for discussion based on all the material collated as well as the 3-4 ideas in the “straw man” proposed by the 1-2 person team. The expectation is that out of these ideas, a few will gain everyone’s interest and be the focus of discussion on how to go about funding those idea(s). Clearly, we cannot expect miracles at this meeting. But the expectation is that we are all coming together to understand others and the trajectories of their research and are interested in working with them on a project that is aligned with our interests. And that we are willing and able to contribute.
