| Resum: | This bachelor thesis has as its main purpose the development of an application to help individuals suffering from dementia or post-stroke to carry out indoor daily activities, so that they do not have to entirely depend on a caregiver. Users have available a personalized range of tutorials according to their physical and cognitive impairment, which also determines how the information is displayed in terms of interaction.
Futhermore, IT are conceived as an assistive tool to be used on a daily basis for the work out of users with disabilities through basic Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), so that the worsening of their mental faculties and decline physical capacities can be delayed in time.
The most relevant key issues related to the elder care that IT tries to settle are described in the next section. |
