Data mining analysis of defect data in Software Development Process

Abstract

Firstly we will give an overview of the motivations to realize the work. And then there will be an introduction about software development concepts as well as Data Mining and Software Management. Later we will talk about the database and what kind of data are recorded in the database. We will explain how is used, in our case, the Change Control Board and thus we will proceed to define the specific research questions. Afterwards we will present the environment of the mining program used, ProM and his techniques and methods to analysing. The following part will be the most important for the project. The data mining analysis of database, trying to answer the questions anounced at the begining. Finally, last chapter is dedicated to highlight some conclusions from our work.
