The eigendecomposition of the coherency matrix, as well as
the Entropy, Anisotropy and mean Alpha angle are crucial for
the physical understanding of the scattered echo in SAR polarimetry.
This contribution considers a perturbation analysis
of the coherency matrix that allows the statistical characterization
of all the previous parameters. In addition, a novel and
effective algorithm for the unbiased estimation of the Entropy
parameter is presented.
