dc.description.abstract | The aim of this project was the testing of the stability of different sensor materials under harsh conditions. To attain this objective, two main courses of study have been followed. The first part of the thesis focuses on the characterization of optical sensors at high hydrostatic pressure for oceanographic applications. In the second part, the photostability of different sensing materials has been studied in order to verify their adequate functioning in various applications where high light intensities are used or long measurements are performed. |
