The direct numerical simulation of the flow past a sphere at Re=3700 is presented. The computations are carried out with a parallel unstructured symmetry preserving information for accurate solving complex geometries. As far as the author's knowledge is concerned, these are the first DNS results of a flow past a sphere at this Re number. The main flow characteristics, as well as statistical features are investigated.
