dc.description.abstractThe main aim of this work is to be an introduction to the development of numerical codes for fluid dynamics and make them capable of represent real situations with academic purposes. Starting from a very basic point, the Navier-Stokes equations are discretized following a finite volume methodology. Then the self-developed codes are verified using different techniques and comparing the obtained results to benchmark solutions. Finally, the software is used to study a more specific case related with engineering
