dc.description.abstractThe effective mobility-lifetime product, a figure of merit for charge carrier transport in a photovoltaic device, was determined for small-molecule bulk heterojunction organic solar cells by means of a simplified methodology comprising variable light intensity measurements. The recombination losses within the intrinsic active layer, accounted by a recombination current that reduces the generated photocurrent, were correlated to lower mobility-lifetime values that reduce device performance.
