The aim of this TFG is to carry out a real project that is designing and dimensioning a base station for mobile communications to cover an area that requires reinforcement coverage. The location of this new base station has been chosen by a mobile operator and also, as it is expected to be made a co-siting with another operator, this project will contain this second project (the co-siting). In this way, reading the project you can see, clearly and concisely, what are the steps in both situations. During the TFG is going to do an examination of the place in order to choose which is going to be the best place to install the radiofrequency equipment, the feeding and the tower or the mast and the most appropriate type. A second point is to decide the radiant system to cover the desired area, the transmission system used to allow the access of the base station to the backbone and all the components that form the radiant system (tower mounted amplifiers (TMA), surge arresters, combiners, coaxial cables (jumpers and feeders) and the connectors) and also, the calculation of the powers of each technologies to be deployed (GSM 900 Mixed mode UMTS 900, DCS 1800, UMTS 2100, LTE 800 and LTE 1800) and a study of coverage. All of these solutions will be accompanied by a justification, explaining the reasons for taking that decisions. With the help of Autocad software the TFG will contain an installation project and the TFG also will contain all the material that has been proposed in this project.
