dc.description.abstractDuring last three summers a thunderstorm and lightning related electromagnetic fields measuring campaign were carried out over Catalonia (N-E of Spain). In these campaigns electric and magnetic fields were recorded under and in the vicinities of thunderstorms. The first part of this manuscript presents the measurement campaigns, the equipment employed, available data for posterior analysis such as lightning location data and meteorological radar; and results. Then radar and lightning data of the August 22th of 2003 episode were five sprites were observed is presented and discussed.
