1) Desenvolupar activitats de recerca i transferència de tecnologia i obtenir resultats que aportin un progrés en els àmbits de les enginyeries aeronàutica i industrial. Aquest objectiu es basa en el fet del potencial multidisciplinari que, tant en recursos humans com materials, té l'ETSEIT, així com en el potencial aeronàutic que, com a conseqüència de la impartició de la nova titulació d'Enginyeria Aeronàutica, està assolint. Aquest grup de recerca permetrà alhora que tot el nou personal docent i d'investigació de l'àrea de coneixement d'Enginyeria Aeroespacial que s'incorpori a l'Escola (aquest PDI tindrà adscripció orgànica i funcional a l'Escola) pugui tenir el marc i la infraestructura adequats per a la recerca. 2) Facilitar la recerca al personal docent i d'investigació de l'ETSEIT. To achieve results that contribute to the progress of the fields of aeronautical and industrial engineering.
